June 2011 Featured Couple - Raymond & Jean
[Love Journey]
Often, it is said that the road to love is hardly smooth sailing. But with one’s perseverance, nothing will be too difficult to overcome. Raymond and Jean first met in 2004, back in Citigroup, where they were colleagues under different departments.
Due to the nature of their job, there was little chance for interaction. Despite so, this did not deter Raymond from attempting to get to know Jean on a deeper level.
After they left Citigroup, miraculously, fate brought Raymond and Jean together once more when they coincidentally bumped into each other in Raffles Place. This time, both of them realized the importance of each other and began their love journey of 2 years. Raymond then decided Jean was the only one for him and popped the question during one of their overseas weekend trips.
Of course, Jean gave her nod and together, both of them flipped open a new chapter in their love story.
[Wedding cartoon animation]
Hoping to surprise Jean, Raymond liaised with Coffee & Tea Dreamworks to produce a cartoon animation and kept the surprise under wraps before unveiling it during their wedding banquet. At his first viewing of the animation, Raymond was amazed by the resemblance of the cartoons to him and Jean themselves.
The creative team under Coffee & Tea Dreamworks often gives suggestions to wedding couples for a more unique and memorable wedding. For Raymond and Jean’s big day, Coffee & Tea Dreamworks suggested tailoring the entire cartoon animation to take after a short film, tying in with their wedding theme of a movie premiere theme for their banquet. Being a spontaneous couple, both of them took up the suggestion and even prepared popcorns and movie tickets for their guests to watch their cartoon movie.
The light-hearted cartoon not only surprised Jean, but was also etched deeply into their guests’ memories. It definitely was a night to remember.

[Wedding journey]
Intrigued by our name in Style Weddings magazines and online forums, Raymond and Jean formed their first impression of Coffee & Tea Dreamworks during Jean’s brother wedding. Like every couple, her brother did intensive research before his wedding and was so impressed by the photographer, Coffee’s, work that he engaged their services for his pre-wedding.
While viewing her brother’s wedding photos, Raymond and Jean were drawn to the warmth and cosy feeling that each photograph portrayed. It was exactly what they were looking for. After talking to Coffee, both Raymond and Jean were captivated by his energetic personality and creativity.
During their first meetup with the team at Coffee & Tea Dreamworks’ studio, the couple was further impressed by their personalized and professional service. Not only did the team not rush them into a decision, they discussed each service in detail and gave useful wedding tips to the couple. With no doubts, Raymond and Jean entrusted their actual day to Coffee & Tea Dreamworks. However, faced with a popular wedding date, Coffee and Tea Dreamworks's videographers were fully reserved.
Despite so, Coffee & Tea Dreamworks rendered best assistance on photography and love story animation they could offer. Like a couple’s close confidante, they listened to their problems and gave them advice throughout their entire wedding preparation journey. Not only were Raymond and Jean full of praises for Coffee & Tea Dreamworks, their family and friends were so impressed that one of Jean’s friends will also be engaging their services for her upcoming wedding.
[Wedding advices]
Experienced in wedding preparations, here are some valuable advices from Raymond and Jean for would-be wedding couples:
1) Always feel comfortable with your photographer rather than be overly fixated on his works. It is only when you feel at ease with your photographer that he will be able to capture the most natural and beautiful wedding memories for you.
2) To avoid disappointment, never hesitate to engage the professional's services if you are sure of his work. If not, they might be reserved by the time you make your decision.
3) Take care of the big ticket items first before settling with the smaller details.
